She was the "Physio" at Ealing and Southall Athletics Club in the early 1990's, helping the athletes with various minor injuries. She also worked with cyclists, pre and post competition, and local footballers.

In 1995 Sharon trained to become an Osteopath at the British School of Osteopathy, graduating in 1999. In August 2015, Sharon was awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Rehabilitation Therapy from the University of Nottingham, having studied for this alongside normal practice life. Consequently, she is also now a highly qualified practitioner in small animal physiotherapy, practising at the Bishops Veterinary Surgery, in Hatfield.

When she is not working, Sharon can often be found walking her dogs. She also enjoys swimming and hiking in the countryside.
