Our Covid-19 Policy
Last updated: April 2022
The health and safety of our patients, visitors and staff is our number one priority. We adhere to current Covid-19 safety guidelines, and continue to follow Public Health England, our Regulatory Body - the General Osteopathic Council, and Institute of Osteopathy recommendations, to ensure as safe an environment as possible.
As a healthcare setting which regularly cares for highly vulnerable individuals, we have a duty of care to follow strict safety measures, all of which we believe are essential to protect our patients and visitors and to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
Our Covid-19 Safety Measures:
What we are doing:
- Carrying out telephone screenings for all new patients
- Adjusting our appointments schedule to allow time for clinic room sanitation and ventilation to take place
- Sanitising all contact surfaces between each patient
- Ventilating our clinic rooms with open windows
- Our staff continue to wear medical grade face coverings and gloves during examination and treatment
- Providing masks and sanitiser for patients and visitors upon arrival, if required
- For our small animal patients, we are changing all contact equipment between every patient, including bedding and harnesses. The physio mat and electrotherapy equipment are also sanitised between each patient
We kindly ask that you:
- Please do not come to the practice if you:
- Have tested positive for Covid-19, or;
- If you feel unwell and are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, or;
- If you have been in close contact with somebody who has tested positive for Covid-19 within the past 10 days
- Do not arrive early for your appointment - please wait in your car and we will collect you
- Wear a face covering during your appointment (unless medically exempt)
- Sanitise your hands upon arrival
- Avoid bringing anybody to your appointment wherever possible (with the exception of minors, who should still be accompanied by a legal guardian). Should you require a chaperone please notify us before your appointment
Thank you for your continued understanding. If you have any questions regarding our Covid-19 policy, please get in touch.
