Sharon Winkler BSc (Hons) Ost, PG Cert (Small Animal Rehabilitation Therapy)Sharon began her career in the healthcare profession in 1989 in West London as a Remedial Massage Therapist treating musculoskeletal disorders, including sports injuries. She was the "Physio" at Ealing and Southall Athletics Club in the early 1990's, helping the athletes with various minor injuries. She also worked with cyclists, pre and post competition, and local footballers.

In 1995 Sharon trained to become an Osteopath at the British School of Osteopathy, graduating in 1999. Since becoming an Osteopath, Sharon has treated many different musculoskeletal disorders and patient ranges, developing specialist expertise in the Osteopathic treatment of babies and children and also Osteopathy for dogs and cats.

In August 2015, Sharon was awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Rehabilitation Therapy from the University of Nottingham, having studied for this alongside normal practice life. Consequently, she is also now a highly qualified practitioner in small animal physiotherapy, practising at the Bishops Veterinary Surgery, in Hatfield.

Sharon has taught osteopaths and given talks to various professionals including midwives, health visitors and breast feeding counsellors. She has been a tutor for the Society of Osteopaths in Animal Practice and has lectured at two British Veterinary Nursing Association annual congresses.

Sharon is passionate about her work with both people and animals and enjoys the variety and mental stimulation this brings.

When she is not working, Sharon can often be found walking her dogs. She also enjoys swimming and hiking in the countryside.
